Professional Expertise:
Specializes in gynecological endoscopic surgery for benign and malignant gynecological tumors, with unique experience in laparoscopic treatment of malignant uterine tumors and deeply infiltrating endometriosis (DIE). Proficient in performing complex procedures including laparoscopic radical hysterectomy, pelvic and para-aortic lymphadenectomy, resection of intestinal endometriosis with intestinal anastomosis, excision of urinary tract endometriosis lesions, end-to-end ureter anastomosis, and ureteroneocystostomy. He is one of the pioneering experts in China to carry out laparoscopic cervical cerclage for the treatment of cervical incompetence.
Scientific Research:
Has presided over various levels of scientific research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Key Research Program of Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Commission, Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and Guangzhou Science and Technology Program Project. He has published more than 200 academic papers and special lecture articles, including over 30 SCI-indexed papers. He invented the "Yao's Uterine Manipulator" and obtained a national utility model patent. The research project "Application of Laparoscopy in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Gynecological Diseases" led by him won the Second Class Prize of Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. He also served as the chief translator of "Practical Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Endometriosis".
